If you need any convincing of the benefits of time spent in nature, read this article from the New York Times that describes how natural settings help children with attention deficit disorders. We all benefit from a walk in the park.

The good news for this weekend is that the Garden Conservancy has announced that Sunday, June 3, is the Open Day for San Francisco Gardens. Four private gardens will be open to the public ($5.00 admission) from 10:00 am to 4:00 p.m. This is your chance to see some of San Francisco’s well hidden treasures that are not ordinarily open to the public. Why not pick up some sandwiches at Little Vine on Grant and head up to Coit tower, picnic, and walk over to Greenwich Street to tour the Telegraph Hill gardens?
